A produção de biodiesel no brasil recuou 12,1% no primeiro semestre deste ano na comparação com o mesmo período de 2021, segundo dados da Agência Nacional de Petroleum, Natural Gas and biofuels released this Monday 7/25/22.
From January to June, biodiesel production in Brazil was 2.97 billion liters compared to 3.38 billion in the first half of last year.
The drop in production is related to the proportion of 10% of biodiesel in diesel, defined by the government for the whole year of 2022, amid high prices for raw materials.
In the first half of last year, the country had 12% mixture in January and February 2021 and 13% in March and April. May and June were the only ones with a content of 10%.
Considering only the production of June, the fall was smaller, of 3.6%. The country produced 509 million liters against 528 million in June 2021.
Soybean oil was responsible for 66% of all raw material used in production, followed by other fatty materials that are mixtures of raw materials and reprocessing of by-products generated in the production of biodiesel and beef fat.
The southern region of the country led production in the semester, with 1.32 billion liters, followed by the Midwest and North, with 1.13 billion and the Northeast, with 292.2 million.
