Revenue from January to July from pork exports reached US$ 1.337 billion, 16.2% lower than in 2021.
According to the ABPA, the China imported in July 38.4 thousand tons -24.4%, the Philippines, 8.2 thousand tons +238.2%, Thailand, 5 thousand tons +2149.7% and the Uruguay, 4.1 thousand tons +7.8%.
"There is a new level in pork sales to China, around 40 thousand tons, which should remain in the coming months and above the volumes practiced in the first half of this year", said Luís Rua, ABPA's market director. .
“At the same time, we see that other markets have gained prominence in 2022, such as the Philippines, USA, Thailand and Japan. For these countries, we have been targeting products with higher added value, which has kept exports above 90,000 tonnes per month since March, giving an indication of the trend until the end of 2022.” Luis Rua pointed out.
